Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
WRESTLE: The devil is relentless. He continually entices you with temptations drawn from his arsenal of sin.
Those enticements feed the flesh and awaken desires that are outside the will of God. If the Christian is not vigilant, sin will quietly creep in, take root, and begin to overtake the mind and the heart.
Therefore, the Church and every believer must remain watchful of the devil’s tactics. If we are not, sin will not only take root—it will grow and flourish.
The consequences are enormous.
As sin enters, it naturally pushes out the Word of God and dulls the desire to hear it preached.
A void forms in the mind and soul, and that empty space is quickly filled with the devil’s noise—his lies, distractions, and worldly music— drawing the heart away from God.
That absence of God’s Word produces a deadly result: Sin is glorified, and what once shocked the conscience is soon accepted as normal.
