This was my last Marine Corps Ball and wow, what a mix of emotions. Gratitude. Pride. Growth. Closure.This uniform carried me through some of the hardest and most meaningful years of my life. To everyone who's been here watching this journey unfold- thank you. I don't take that support lightly.When I got HSSTed for recruiting duty, I knew it would be the most challenging assignment of my career. What I didn't expect was an accident that led to multiple surgeries and permanently limited mobility and damage in my predominant ankle.It's hard knowing this is how my Marine Corps story is coming to an end, but I'm deeply grateful for the doors that have opened because of it. Every chapter taught me something, even the ones I didn't choose.And to the ladies: don't let any smelly BOYS tell you that you'll fail as a Marine or a recruiter because you're a woman. Prove them wrong. Win Recruiter of the Year. Win SNCOIC of the Year. Then win it again.
