One of the classics goes like this,“Donald Trump has never done anything for this country.”Sounds simple, it isn’t.𝐋𝐢𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧,Trump has never done anything 𝐰𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞.And that, ironically, is a very good thing.In a country with two opposing policy visions, only one can be enacted at a time. When one side wins, the other loses. If Democrats were happy with Trump’s policies, it would mean he was violating the mandate he received from the American people.So let’s translate honestly.Trump closed the border.𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, liberals preferred millions of unvetted people entering from 175+ countries, at an estimated cost of roughly $68,000 per migrant per year, paid by American taxpayers.Trump used tariffs that brought in hundreds of billions in revenue and forced neighboring countries to police their side of the border.𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, liberals preferred drugs, trafficking, and zero enforcement.Those same tariffs triggered trillions in new investment and high-paying American jobs.𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, liberals preferred those jobs stay overseas while Americans flip burgers. We get it, they like their Big Mac.Trump reversed government-backed censorship on day one.𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, liberals preferred not seeing posts like mine, because truth makes them uncomfortable.Gas prices are already dropping in many states.𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, liberals preferred high energy costs, because when energy is expensive, everything is expensive.Now here’s the deeper layer most people miss, this is how language and perception actually work.There are 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐬, and there are 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬.“It’s raining outside” is a fact.Getting angry because you just washed your car and now it’ll be spotted with mud, that’s a story.Being happy because the trees, grass, and environment need the rain, also a story.Same rain, different narrative.Liberal rhetoric doesn’t usually invent new facts, it 𝐫𝐞𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 existing ones, filters them through emotion, then treats the resulting story as reality.That’s Pig Latin.Same words, same facts, different structure.Once you see that, debates stop being confusing. You realize you’re not arguing policy, you’re arguing 𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬.And when their narrative stops matching reality, frustration turns into anger, because their story opposes yours, and they’re mad the light side is winning.And this is where 𝐓𝐃𝐒 comes in.TDS is like the dark side of the Force, 𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐬, 𝐚𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞, and bad. It doesn’t sharpen thinking, it replaces it. It feeds on outrage and hijacks dopamine the same way any addiction does.Historically, I believe TDS will go down as one of the most 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝-𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐝𝐨𝐩𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐞-𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠, mass-hysteria afflictions of all time.Think about it, we’re watching millions of people who would genuinely prefer to see our country go up in flames, along with the future of their own children and grandchildren, for the one emotional payoff of being able to look back and say,“See, we told you, orange man bad.”That’s not politics, that’s 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲.So let’s stop pretending.Liberals don’t hate Trump because he’s done nothing.They hate him because he’s doing 𝐞𝐱𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐥𝐲 what he was elected to do.𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐟𝐞𝐚𝐫
