Isaiah 3:1-61 "For, behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, doth take away from Jerusalem and from Judah the stay and the staff, the whole stay of bread, and the whole stay of water,".This is a continuation of chapter two, and as we read in Isaiah 2:1, it is looking far forward into the future to the last days, and what will happen in the time of the end. We are living in the days of this prophecy, and thus this nation Judah has already been established politically, and thus it is looking to the political ruin that shall come upon Judah, or as we call her today, "the nation of Israel". It is at this time we will start to see that the one world political system will be centered in Jerusalem, and it will be from Jerusalem that this world wide political system will receive the deadly wound. So this is speaking of that world political system that is centered here as the Antichrist appears. This is a close up on what you and I will see in the very near future, as given by Almighty God Himself, at the pen of Isaiah.In the Hebrew, when you are given a double noun, it is an expression meaning it is considering all foods By saying "stay and the staff", and "bread and the water" you are saying the same thing. God is letting you know that HE, The LORD of the hosts, is going to take it away from them and they are going to starve. He is saying that the political and spiritual situation that is coming from Jerusalem, the world rule will die. God is going to destroy that political system with a deadly wound..Isaiah 3:3 "The captain of fifty, and the honourable man, and the counseller, and the cunning artificer, and the eloquent orator.".The captain of fifty are the military leaders, and the honorable man who is honorable to the world and not to Almighty God, and we see that God is zeroing in on the highly educated here. God is saying that, "I am going to destroy it, I have a place for it." Those men that have tried to eliminate God from the face of the earth are going to have a very sad awakening very soon. When they see the very One that they have tried to destroy, and Christ's Majesty and Power, they will truly be humbled and ashamed of the wicked words they have spoken. They won't question, "Is there a God and Heaven?", for they WILL KNOW, ABSOLUTELY!. Isaiah 3:4 "And I will give children to be their princes, and babes shall rule over them.".God is telling you here who is going to take the place of those wise counselors, eloquent orators and honorable men/women. It is the (men/women with the minds) of children. They will be ruled by men/women "with minds of babies". Does it sound familiar as you look at the Political leaders of today? When you are in the midst of children with a sack of candy, they all have their hands out, and the mind of a child demands their own personal satisfaction and gain first. What is important to them is "what can I get, what will you give me?" Our leaders, not only of America, but the entire world, are existing with the mind of babes. This HAS come to pass, and these so-called wise men of today running our nation and they are "selling their own people" and nations out for a morsel of bread. They are selling their own grandchildren into bondage for trinkets and the pleasures of today.Common sense is not present in our governmental houses of today. Like a child's mind, they give away what they do not have, and obligate their own children to pay for their wants and whims. Stop and look at the words and actions of our so-called leaders; their words have no more meaning than a child who doesn't know right from wrong, and their actions are that of a spoiled child. The leaders as well as the people, have turned away from our Heavenly Father, from whom all blessings flow, and and they want to turn to socialism. .Isaiah 3:5 "And the people shall be oppressed, every one by another, and every one by his neighbour: the child shall behave himself proudly against the ancient, and the base against the honourable.".The "base" is the criminal. This is saying that the people will be "so confused" that they will not know right from wrong, left from right, and everything will be turned up-side-down, and back-side-front. Things that are according to God's Holy Word will be considered wrong, and what is evil and filthy to be considered good and just. This again comes when you have men with babies minds ruling, and making judgments for the people..Isaiah 3:6 "When a man shall take hold of his brother of the house of his father, saying, 'Thou hast clothing, be thou our ruler, and let this ruin be under thy hand:'".What this is saying is; though we are poor and have nothing, they will look to their brother and say, "you look nice with your 'fine clothes', you rule." What's wrong with that? The leaders are selected by their neighbors to rule on the "basis of appearance" and NOT their abilities of "common sense and good judgment."Stop and think for a moment. If you went to a counselor for advice, which would you choose? One man has much wisdom in God's Word and is extremely knowledgeable and you know cares about you. This man is dressed in work clothes. The other man is dressed in a three piece suit with a mind like a baby. He has no common sense, and when he talks no intelligence comes from his mouth. Which would you choose as your counselor? Of course if you have any sense at all you will chose the one that is able to give you good counsel.The point of this verse is that in the "latter days" they will choose their counsel because of his common "dress", and NOT because of his "common sense". God is telling you that this IS what is going to happen in the Political realm in the latter days, when the New World Order comes to power. Don't judge somebody by their looks.
