Terrence K Williams No pay for them. Period. GREAT NEWS: Sen. John Kennedy’s bill to stop paying them during a government shutdown has been advanced by the Senate Rules Committee. Why should they get paid when: • Federal workers aren’t • The military is only partially paid • Air traffic controllers work without pay • SNAP recipients are shorted • Staffers get nothing Kennedy put it plainly: “They don’t deserve a dime from the American taxpayer until they do their jobs.” Federal workers have already had to borrow $365 million just to cover rent — while they keep cashing checks. No work. No deal. No paycheck.
