THE KING WHO BECAME A BABYEvery year the world drowns Christmas in noise—Santa, elves, reindeer, glitter, and trees piled high with decorations. None of these things have anything to do with the miracle that changed the course of history. They distract hearts from the One who deserves all the attention: Jesus Christ, the King who became a baby so He could become our Saviour. The manger wasn’t cute—it was a declaration of war against sin and death. The Child wrapped in swaddling clothes was Heaven stepping down into our broken world. A thousand times in history a baby has grown up to become a king, but only once has the eternal King humbled Himself to become a baby. That’s why His birth matters. That’s why we cannot afford to let worldly traditions bury the truth.Luke 2:11 (KJV) reminds us: “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.” He didn’t come for holiday cheer—He came for the Cross. He didn’t come for lights—He came to bring light to a world in darkness. He didn’t come for gifts—He came as the gift, the only One who can give everlasting life. Every ornament fades. Every tree dries up. Every myth eventually falls apart. But the birth of Jesus Christ stands forever. This Christmas, strip away the noise. Lay aside the distractions. Fix your eyes on the Child who is the Lamb of God, the Mighty God, the Prince of Peace, the only Saviour. His birth is the hinge of history. His life is the hope of mankind. His death is the payment for sin. His resurrection is the guarantee of eternal life. Honor Him. Worship Him. Lift Him up.The King became a baby so that sinners could become children of God.That is Christmas—pure, powerful, and eternal.
