December 9th - on this day in 2016, JAXA(宇宙航空研究開発機構) launched the sixth H-II Transfer Vehicle (HTV-6), also known as Kounotori 6, on a Mitsubishi Heavy Industries H-IIB rocket out of the Tanegashima Space Center.Carrying approx. 5,900 kg of cargo, HTV-6 was berthed to the International Space Station using the Space Station Remote Manipulator System (SSRMS), better known as Canadarm2, on December 13th, 2016, as shown in the picture.
