"GOD'S BOOK OF LOVE" "That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God." (Ephesians 3:17-19)Many years ago, I heard, but I can't recall where I heard it or even who told it, a story about a professor who wrote a book on love. The only flaw concerning the book was that the professor had never been in love. When he brought the finished book to the publisher, his attention was drawn to the lady who was typing it up in order to prepare the manuscript for publication. When their eyes met, something happened which he never included in his book. He immediately fell in love. In just 5 minutes, he experienced something that was missing during the many years it actually took him to write that book. It was a love which sprang deep from within his heart.Well folks, God was in the process of writing His own Book of Love for us even before the foundation of the world. He who was, and is, and always will be in love with you and I, knew exactly the Words to write because, you see, He wrote those Words from His Heart to His children! Remember this: God never needed us; but God's love wanted us, and He put that love on display at Calvary.Friends, when we see Him as He is one day, we will love Him even far greater than we do right now and yes, much more than that professor ever experienced. To be sure, we love God, not only because we believe and trust Him; but we're BEING LOVED BY HIM. Now that unchangeable and undeniable truth is indeed a blessing we can count on and cherish in our heart every day.
