The Good Old DaysDeuteronomy 32:7“Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations: ask thy father, and he will shew thee; thy elders, and they will tell thee.”In Deuteronomy chapter 32 Moses is reminiscing and he puts his thoughts into a song. He could have titled the song “The Good Old Days”. What is it about the old days that makes us call them good? For us who are Christians it is the blessings of God. Do we not think that the present days we are living in are also days in which God can bless and is blessing? I can remember my grandparents talking about the good old days of when they were younger. They passed on and now we reminisce and think about the good old days. One day in the future, there will be those who will remember this generation of God’s blessings and call them the good old days. One thing is certain, if we knew the good old days were so good we would have appreciated them more. Remember today’s blessings will be tomorrow’s blessings. Enjoy the journey God has you on today. Thank God for His present blessings. Thank Him for every moment. There is still much good in this world because there is a God in heaven. Sit down with yesterday’s generation, ask them to tell you their stories, and rejoice with them but do not forget that God is still blessing today. He is still the same God!! The God that blessed Moses and the children of Israel is the same God that blesses us today!
