“From Self to Savior” ✨
“If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.” — Luke 9:23 (KJV)
We live in a culture obsessed with self—self-love, self-esteem, self-discovery, self-fulfillment, and self-expression. Everywhere you turn, the world preaches the same tired message: “Look within. Trust yourself. Believe in yourself. Follow your heart.”
But Scripture paints a very different picture.
As long as self is on the throne, life will stay broken.
The flesh has never healed a soul, never saved a sinner, and never produced righteousness. The Bible doesn’t tell us to look within; it tells us to look unto Jesus.
The call of Christ is not “discover yourself,” but deny yourself.
Not “express yourself,” but crucify the flesh.
Not “believe in yourself,” but believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.
Self is the problem—never the cure.
Real peace begins when we step off the throne and let Christ rule.
Real joy comes when we lay down our own will and surrender to His.
Real healing comes only from the One who conquered sin, death, and the grave.
“He must increase, but I must decrease.” — John 3:30 (KJV)
That is the posture of every true disciple.
When your eyes are on Jesus, not yourself, you finally see what life is supposed to be. And if we could save ourselves, Christ would have never needed to die. But He did—because we couldn’t.
Stop looking inward. Start looking upward.
Your answer is not in self.
Your answer is in the Savior.
