Continuing OnColossians 1:23 “If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;”2 Timothy 3:14 “But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;”Every now and then one meets that rock steady, faithful Christian that seems no matter what comes their way they continue on for Jesus. Their life is like others, in that they also experience the hardships and trials of life. Like everyone they have days in which they feel more down than up. Days in which they get crossed with people they love. Days where people they love treat them wrong. The difference is they remain faithful to God. They continue on in the faith. They continue on believing in the things through the years they have learned about God. They are grounded and settled in their faith in God. They know God remains the same yesterday, today, and forever, and they follow His example. When things in life go wrong they do not look for someone to blame, they look for God to carry them through, realizing it is all a part of God’s purpose. Such are people of patient, steady faith. Their faith rests solely in God and Him alone. Such a person inspires other Christians like myself to continue on.
