The fire behind her didn’t scare her as much as the world she was leaving.If your heart is still chained to what Christ died to deliver you from, you are not walking in freedom — you are drifting toward ruin. Christ did not save you to look back, reach back, or run back. Salvation is forward. Holiness is forward. Christ is forward. Heaven is forward.The Word of God is clear:James 4:4 (KJV) — “…whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.”There is no victory for a Christian who keeps glancing over his shoulder.There is no spiritual power while longing for old sins.There is no progress when yesterday looks more appealing than Christ.Lot’s wife proves that you can walk away from destruction and still die in it if your heart belongs to the world.Today, make it plain: No more curiosity about what God saved you fromNo more divided heartFix your eyes on Christ, refuse to look back, and run as though eternity depends on it — because it does.
