"BUT HE LIED UNTO HIM" Always remember the younger prophet of God from I Kings 13 who departed from "word of the Lord" (due to the lie of an older prophet) and ended up dead. My, what an invaluable lesson in standing firm on WHAT GOD SAID rather than leaning to our own understanding or listening to the "godly counsel" of others. You just never know when you are being tested, so ALWAYS stick with the words of God."He said unto him, I am a prophet also as thou art; and an angel spake unto me by the word of the LORD, saying, Bring him back with thee into thine house, that he may eat bread and drink water. But he lied unto him." (I Kgs. 13:18) And he BELIEVED the lie. This was a lesson in LISTENING (which he did, but not good enough), a lesson in OBEDIENCE (which he did not do), a lesson in PRAYER (which he did not do), and a lesson in WISDOM (which he could have and should have had).
