β¦βUsing Ohioβs population of 11,799,448 multiplied by 12, the number of megawatts consumed per person in Ohio equals 141,593,376 total megawatts consumed.
Using the Solar Energy Industries Association research data that between FIVE to TEN ACRES OF LAND is needed per ONE megawatt for solar energy, would mean to generate the 12 megawatt of electricity consumed in Ohio per person, it will take between 707.9 million and 1.416 billion acres.
The problem is, Ohio only has 28.68 million acres.ββ¦
