In contrast to what may have often been called the ‘dark ages’ of Medieval times, it may perhaps be possible to argue that today, a new ‘dark age’ has befallen much of the world. As in the days of Sodom, the light of salvation still shined as divinely as ever, though it inhabitants ignored and were blind to it. Today, challenges to ones faith are everywhere, just as it was with Lot. However, for those who are fortunate enough to have Christ within their hearts, we may consider ourselves its chosen people, as a new nation of light; not limited by geography and distance, but instead brought together by faith.
