GET OUT AND STAY OUT! ". . . Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues." (Rev. 18:4) "Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty." ( II Cor. 6:17-18) "Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing; go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean, that bear the vessels of the LORD." (Isa. 52:11) "Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding." (Pro. 9:6) "Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment." (Num. 16:21) As these final days of Laodicea wind up, there are basically two kinds of believers: Noah believers and Lot believers (Luke 17:26-30). The Noah believers are the dedicated Christians who live holy and separated lives for the glory of God. The Lot believers are the worldly, shallow-minded Christians who think they can serve God faithfully while remaining in the midst of unbelievers, backsliders and apostates. Like Lot, they vex their souls with such evil and completely wreck their testimonies (II Pet. 2:7-8). Of course, they have their excuses. Every Lot style believer has taken his or her backslidden mind through some justification process where they reached the conclusion that their foolish choices are good, and many of them actually believe themselves to be superior Christians. I can't even count the number of times through the years that I've dealt with people who insist on remaining in dead or dying churches just because "God needs me there . . . I'm there to HELP those people." Hogwash! You're there because you like the atmosphere. You're there for the same reason that a sow wallows in the mire: she likes it! We've had people leave our church to "help" these Laodicean type churches, and now some of them aren't in church at all. People honestly don't believe that the devil is real and that he will wage war against ANYONE who sets out to serve Jesus Christ. Folks think they can just hang out in Sodom like Lot and be some kind of a spiritual Rambo for God, but it never works. Like Lot, they always end up being devoured by the devil and losing everything of any spiritual value. Friend, you NEED a good church more than you realize, and YOU might not be the best judge of what a good church is. After all, I've never heard anyone admit to being part of a BAD church. Every church member in such churches has some "good" reasons for remaining in his choice church, and Lot, do doubt, had some "good" reasons for remaining in Sodom, BUT IT WAS A STUPID IDEA, AND HE PAID THE PRICE SPIRITUALLY. So will YOU, if you aren't truly a part of a good and strong, Bible-believing church. Noah made it to the hall of faith (Heb. 11) by separating himself from unrighteous people. Lot thought the hall of faith was a fanatical cult. What about YOU?
