The Loyalty Of God Lamentations 3:22-25“It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.”I love this text. I love the part about the mercies and compassions of God being new every morning. When I woke up this morning I was greeted by the mercy and compassion of God! He has gifted me today with another day. In this text we see a character trait about the nature of God that even makes His mercies and compassions even greater.Consider God’s faithfulness!Jeremiah said to God, “Great is thy faithfulness.”“Great is thy faithfulness, O God, my Father;There is no shadow of turning with thee.Thou changest not, thy compassions, they fail not; As thou hast been, thou forever wilt be. Great is thy faithfulness, Great is thy faithfulness, Morning by morning new mercies I see.All I have needed thy hand hast provided; Great is thy faithfulness, Lord unto me.”Think about it!! This very day, this very moment, God is proving His faithfulness to you. His compassions and mercies have not failed you!
