Though the Gaia spacecraft has ended maneuvers due to propellant depletion, astronomers and scientists still have hundreds of terabytes to decipher and the work of processing its remaining datasets will continue. The Data Processing and Analysis Consortium (DPAC) plans for the final data release, DR5, to be published no earlier than the end of 2030, containing the full dataset collected during the mission's lifespan. More data will be released in 2026 and will continue until the final data release.
