𝗔𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗺𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗸𝘆 𝗪𝗮𝘆 𝙖𝙨 𝙨𝙘𝙖𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙙 𝙗𝙮 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙂𝙖𝙞𝙖 𝙈𝙞𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 (2013-2025). -- Though the Gaia spacecraft has ended maneuvers due to propellant depletion, astronomers and scientists still have hundreds of terabytes to decipher and the work of processing its remaining datasets will continue. The Data Processing and Analysis Consortium (DPAC) plans for the final data release, DR5, to be published no earlier than the end of 2030, containing the full dataset collected during the mission's lifespan. More data will be released in 2026 and will continue until the final data release.
