THE WORLD'S BEST KEPT SECRET “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” (Revelation 20:15)No, this is not a joke. Hell is real, and people go there every day! Over 150,000 people die daily, and Jesus said that most of them go to hell (Mat. 7:13-14). Even if one third of them are saved, still over 100,000 are lost and will burn in hell. Do the math, friend. That’s at least one person going to hell every second!But who’s talking about it? Almost no one! We talk about other tragic things, such as hurricanes, tornados, floods, terrorist attacks and school shootings, but we ignore God’s warnings about the worst tragedy ever: over 100,000 souls are moving into a burning hell every day.Most preachers have quit preaching about hell, and most Christians either do not believe the Bible record of a literal hell or they simply lack the courage and compassion to warn people about it. Consequently, hell has become the best kept secret in the world.Yet hell is no secret when we open the pages of scripture. Deuteronomy 32:22 says, “For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell.” In Matthew 13:49-50, Jesus says, “So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.” Hell is no secret in the Bible; hell is just as real as heaven! Psalm 9:17 warns that “The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.” The rich man of Luke chapter sixteen cried out in hell saying, “Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.” (Luke 16:24)Friend, make no mistake about it; hell is real, and you will spend eternity there if you reject God’s Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, as your Saviour. Satan is working overtime to keep this secret from you, but God has been merciful and has allowed you to come across this message. Don’t stop reading now. Get the gospel truth that God has for you while you still can. After all, you have no assurance of having another chance.In the third chapter of the Gospel of John, Jesus spoke to a very religious man named Nicodemus and said, “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” (John 3:3) A few verses later he said, “Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.” Jesus then explained that being born again meant being “born of the Spirit.” (John 3:8)What does this mean? It means that you are a sinner and that you must be saved by believing the gospel of Jesus Christ, God’s Son. The apostle Paul defines the gospel in I Corinthians 15:3-4: “For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.”Friend, do you believe that? Do you believe that you are a sinner? Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” The Bible record is that Jesus is the Son of God who died for your sins, was buried, and then rose on the third day. Do you believe that enough to turn from your sins and receive Jesus as your own personal Saviour? When a sinner truly believes on Christ he receives Christ as his Lord and Saviour just as one would freely receive a gift. God so loved the world that he gave us his Son (John 3:16), but that’s only half of it. A gift can be rejected or received. You must receive the Lord Jesus Christ in order to be saved and become a child of God. John 1:12 says, “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.” Would you like to escape the damnation of hell and become a true Christian today? You can do just that. Romans 10:9-10 says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Verse thirteen then says, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”Friend, don’t make the mistake that thousands make every day. Don’t enter eternity without Jesus Christ as your Saviour. He is your only hope for salvation, and He wants to save you today! Receive Christ NOW while you still can.
