CRISS CROSS SKIES: Skies over Lake Ontario this afternoon are likely to look like a Tic-Tac-Toe board. The air around 30,000 feet is nearly saturated. That happens to be an altitude where commercial aircraft fly. Those planes produce exhaust that form contrails made of ice crystals (it's really cold up there). Because the air is saturated, those linear streaks will linger, eventually flaying out as upper winds disperse the ice.
The end result will be a uniquely chaotic sky until the air up there dries out.

A Con trail disappears between 30 and 60 seconds behind a plane, a Chemtrail stays for a long time . Go out and watch the sky !!
