It’s an absolute fact that instances of political violence have drastically increased since 2016 when Donald Trump entered politics. According to the Center for Strategic and International Studies instances of ideologically driven political violence have tripled since Donald Trump first took office and the instances of right-wing violence far outnumber violence on the left. The January 6th insurrection, the attack on Paul Pelosi, the arson attack on Governor Shapiro’s house, the murder of Minnesota state senator Melissa Hortman and her husband, the shooting of Minnesota state senator Jeff Hoffman and his wife, the killing of Atlanta police officer David Rose at the CDC, and now the shooting and arson attack at a Michigan LDS church by MAGA loyalist Thomas Jacob Sanford.
