Sure, the Republicans control both the House and Senate, but 60 votes are required in the Senate to keep the government going, and there are only 53 Republican Senators—and Mitch ’Turtle’ McConnell cannot be trusted to deliver a vote that helps Trump.Chuck Schumer controls his Democrats as the Senate Minority Leader and Hakeem Jeffries is the House Minority Leader. Both want money to fund benefits for illegal aliens. They both want to return to open borders.They don’t seem to realize that Trump handily won the presidential election. Perhaps they consider any kind of negotiations with Republicans a victory over Trump. Perhaps Schumer still thinks there’s a Covid crisis, thus allowing a power grab by Democrats. Their Trump Derangement Syndrome is that ingrained.Trump should take the opportunity and eliminate many government jobs—mostly held by Democrats.
