"THE DRAWING POWER OF THE CROSS" "And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me." (John 12:32)The Cross of Jesus Christ is God's Magnet that draws men to salvation. The Cross does not draw some or just a few, rather, Jesus said it, "will draw ALL men unto me." (caps mine)Yet far too many resist the wooing of the Holy Spirit and would rather continue wandering in the wilderness of their wickedness and thereby choose everlasting damnation over eternal life. It's been said many times, "You're free to choose, but after you choose, then your choice chooses for you." Let us remember that everlasting damnation is just as long as eternal life, for neither have an end in sight!In the Gospels we read of thousands who were miraculously fed by Christ when He walked among men, but since His resurrection, we have untold numbers, known only to the mind of God, who have been miraculously freed by the message of the Lifted Lord of Calvary Who is now seated on the right hand of God in Glory making intercession for you and little ole me (Romans 8:34).At Calvary, the Lord Jesus didn't need any help providing for the forgiveness of sins while he was on Earth from any of those Phony Pharisees, or those "Sad You See" Sadducees, or even those Scribbling Scribes. And you know what? He doesn't need any help these days from any Priests, Preachers, or those PH.D. guys on how to redeem the lost.And do you know why? Because Jesus accomplished it all by Himself! Hebrews 1 3 irons all that out for us saying, "Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had BY HIMSELF PURGED OUR SINS, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;" (Caps mine) He sat down because Heaven was satisfied!Friends, the freedom Jesus Christ freely bestows, that's forever ours, is found in His own wonderful word of promise recorded in John 8:36. "If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed."
