#news Remember when a criminal was released on a PR bond then m*rdered a mother of four who was driving an Uber#Pennsylvania Christina Spicuzza, a 38-year-old Uber driver and mother of four from Pennsylvania, was fatally shot in the head during a robbery on February 10, 2022. It happened at about 9 p.m. Spicuzza picked up passenger Calvin Crew, then 22, in Pittsburgh's East End.#pittsburgh Dashcam footage from her vehicle captured the m*rder about 10 minutes into the ride.Wearing a dark hoodie and mask, Crew pulled a gun and pressed it to the back of Spicuzza's head, ordering her to "keep driving."As she drove through several neighborhoods—tracked via GPS—Spicuzza pleaded for her life. "Please take that off of me. Come on, I have a family... I'm begging you, I have four kids."Crew replied, "I got a family too. Now drive, do what I say and everything will be alright."He later spotted the dashcam recording and ripped it from the dashboard. That's when Crew shot Spicuzza once in the head, dumped her body in a wooded area in Monroeville, and took off.Her vehicle was later found abandoned nearby. Spicuzza's body wasn't discovered until two days later. Crew tried to say he took a bus home and not an Uber, but surveillance footage proved otherwise.Before he m*rdered Spicuzza he texted his girlfriend, Tanaya Mullen, including her warning, "[I’m] not going to jail if we get caught."Crew was arrested days after the murder and charged with criminal homicide, robbery, kidnapping, and tampering with evidence.#ChristinaAguayoNews At the time, it was revealed that Crew had been released on a recognizance bond a couple of weeks earlier for a gun-related charge.Crew—now 25—was sentenced this year to life in prison without the possibility of parole for the first-degree m*rder conviction.Christina Aguayo News He also received an additional 13 to 26 years for the kidnapping and robbery charges.Crew did not attend the sentencing hearing.
