The Glory Belongs To God 1 Corinthians 1:27-29“But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in his presence.”God chooses the foolish, the weak, the base, the despised, and the things which are not to prove His ability to do the impossible. You could say that God does things the opposite of the way man might do something. Why? So that in the end “no flesh should glory in His presence”. The glory belongs unto God. This seems to be the opposite of what we see going on in churches today. There seems to be an ever growing trend of the exaltation of man and what man has done. 1 Corinthians 1:31 says, “That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.”We may hear someone say, “May all glory go to God.” But do we really mean what we say? Where would any of us be right now, if it were not for the Lord? Does not God truly deserve all the glory?
