"OUR LORD'S AFFECTION FOR US KNOWS NO LIMITS" "He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young." (Isaiah 40;11)What gracious words we find here concerning our Shepherd. "He shall feed...he shall gather...and carry...and shall gently lead." Why does He feed, and gather, and carry, and lead us? Why? Because within the bosom of our Great Shepherd of the flock lies a compassionate heart! When one itty-bitty sign of weakness and weariness on our part shows itself, it melts the heart of this Hero for the Helpless. Be it one cry or even one sigh from any of His little lambs, the Shepherd hurries to their side where He tenderly holds them close to His breast. He hath made Himself responsible for us. He hath shown Himself dear to us with that precious blood that flowed from His side. With His sacrifice, He shall save us.With His supply, He shall feed us.With His speech, He shall teach us.With His strength, He shall carry us.With His scepter, He shall lead us.Friends, oh, hear it again, "Our Lord's affection for us knows no limits." We may be His baffled and burdened sheep at times; but He is our Beloved and Blessed Shepherd all the time!
