Strength That Comes Through Weakness2 Corinthians 12:9-10“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.”Who would ever think that strength can come through infirmities, reproaches, necessities, persecutions, and distresses? These all cause weakness and have the potential to stop us, but God is saying to us who by faith relies upon Him can find strength through them. Such strength is an act of grace! It is when, through faith, we totally abandon ourselves into God’s care that God will carry us through. It is when we realize we cannot and we confess to God our inability that He can give us strength to make us able.I cannot, but through God I can. There is a holy presence with every believer that becomes a source of holy power that is magnified through our weaknesses. If you are at a place in your walk with God in which you think you cannot, look unto Jesus. His grace is sufficient. In your weakness the very power of Christ can carry you through the moment.
