I Learned about the end of the world in fourth grade religion class and it scared the shit out of me. At nine years old I had never given any thought to the subject, realizing that there actually is an end to everything is a daunting discovery at that age. I entered the seminary at fourteen and studied scriptures, Latin, prophecy, etc. and searching for answers to my questions about who, what, when, where and how was burning my curiosity. I saw the “end of the world as we know it” as a far distant event that I would never live long enough to see come to fruition. Now, sixty years later, I fear that I was wrong about living long enough to be involved in experiencing “Biblical Armageddon” from the Book of Revelations! So far, so good, but I keep praying now. I didn’t pray for a long time, but I pray a lot more these days than I ever did.
