The closures follow restrictions on Medicaid funding for abortion facilities under the "One Big Beautiful Bill"In more than 40 years of operation in the state, Planned Parenthood has never been allowed to perform abortions. Despite bans after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in 2022, Planned Parenthood still helped provide referrals and travel funds for women seeking abortions across state lines.
