The Seven Abominations: Proverbs 6:16-19https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Proverbs6%3A16-19&version=KJV"The Hebrew word here, when it says,' walks with a perverse mouth', it generally means a crooked mouth. It isn't straight. It isn't honest. It isn't right. They have a 'perverse mouth.' The worthless and wicked man shows his crooked and dishonest character. Verse 14 tells us that evil and discord come from his life. Well, what's going to be the destiny of this person? He shall be broken. So the person has calamity come upon them.So these verses 12- 15 they speak to us about that wicked worthless person who is known by their words. Now Solomon obviously had in mind mostly by what that person says. But I just want you to consider for a moment that here in the 21st century, we have modes of communication that Solomon didn't have.Would it not be true that some people display that they are wicked and worthless people because they text crooked and twisted things? They post crooked and twisted things on social media. It's not just the words that they say, but it's the communication that goes out from them that shows them to be crooked.Again, we have to deal in the 21st century with modes of expressing ourselves that were not available to Solomon, but the principles certainly apply. Friends, watch what you say. Watch how you communicate. Let it be marked by honesty, by by righteousness, and not to be crooked or perverse." David Guzik
