Secretary of State Marco Rubio is saying that Democrats are misguided in their defense of the narco-terrorists who were targeted in recent military operations. #military The military conducted a "kinetic strike" against a boat in international waters in the southern Caribbean, targeting members of Venezuela's Tren de Aragua cartel. President Donald Trump asserted that 11 "narcoterrorists" were k*lled during the strike. The vessel, which had departed from Venezuela, was reportedly transporting illegal drugs bound for the United States Rubio also accused Democrats of undermining national security by sympathizing with criminal networks responsible for flooding American communities with deadly drugs like fentanyl. Christina Aguayo News Last month President Donald Trump signed a directive authorizing the Pentagon to use military force against drug cartels labeled as terrorist organizations, including Mexico’s Sinaloa Cartel and Venezuela’s Tren de Aragua. The cartels and gangs were designated as foreign terrorist organizations in February, a move Rubio championed to be able to use the intelligence agencies and the DOD to combat these threats. Rubio said that these groups are not just drug traffickers but are “armed terrorist organizations” controlling territory and destabilizing the US Rubio saying, "The United States has long, for many years established intelligence that allows us to interdict and stop drug boats. And we did it!" He said traditional methods "don't work because these drug cartels know they are going to lose 2% of their cargo." "What will stop them is when you blow up or get rid of them."
