When God Is With YouHebrews 13:5-6“Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.”Acts 7:9“And the patriarchs, moved with envy, sold Joseph into Egypt: but God was with him.”God has promised to all who are saved,“I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”The person who believes this truth knows no matter what comes his way, “God is with him”. They are teamed up with omnipotence. They know the Lord is their helper and there is no fear of what man will do unto them. I believe having assurance that God is ever with you is the secret to victory over the world, the flesh, and the devil. Even as Joseph, when the foe becomes one of your own household, the knowledge of God’s ever abiding presence allows you to go on in victory. Embracing by faith the truth that God is with you, also helps you to say no to the sin of covetousness. What else do you need when God is with you?
