2 Corinthians 5:21 (KJV) For he hath MADE HIM [to be] sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be m a d e the righteousness of God in him.MADE HIM: The death of Jesus on the cross m a k e s him different And special. He was the one and o n l y sacrifice for sin since he was the sinless lamb of God. So, o n l y he can be the sacrifice and o n l y his sacrifice could accomplish the following:1. Imputed Righteousness: When you are saved, the righteousness of God is i m p a r t e d to you. God does not impart p a r t i a l righteousness and then you have to complete what is unfinished. 2. Justice: God’s wrath is s a t i s f i e d. It’s impossible to provide p a r t i a l justice. The sacrifice of Christ is sufficient, complete, propitiating, with nothing able to add more to his provision. 3. Redemption: You are now r e c o n c i l e d unto God. There is no such thing as p a r t i a l redemption with God waiting for you to earn the remainder of your salvation. 4. Reconciliation: Only Jesus can rejoin and restore us to God. Our relationship with God is now s a t i s f i e d since Christ died in our behalf. Again, there is no such thing as p a r t i a l reconciliation. Either you ARE reconciled or you are not. What happens at Salvation involves these w o r d s and others: forgiveness, sacrifice, sanctification, and propitiation. All these words show WHY salvation rest c o m p l e t e l y upon His finished work and no aspects of salvation will God share with us who are in need of Salvation.
