I once answered the phone, "Acid Rescue." They hung up. This was back in the 70s when there was such a line.
The thing is though, I was in the Philipinnes, on a military installation. The rescue line only existed inside the US mainland. And the only people who ever called the number I answered were American GIs stationed there.
Don't try to convince me we just got stupid in the last coupla decades, or when the internet came around.
