"GOD'S WORLDWIDE WHOSOEVER WILL W 2 FORM" "For God so loved the WORLD, that he gave his only begotten Son, that WHOSOEVER believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16) (caps mine) I can't begin to count the number of sermons I've read and heard over the years as a Christian where this verse was either the text or quoted. One could easily spend the rest of their days commenting on it and still not touch the hem of the garment concerning its great truths. It's probably the best known and most beloved words that were ever written. Little children can recite it without missing a step and older folks remember it because of its simplicity.Note the two words found in this verse which begin with the letter W: WORLD and WHOSOVER. Together they form a public declaration and a personal decision. In this one grand statement, our Saviour utters His Father's eternal love for those who are born and His Father's Promise of everlasting life for those who will believe. The OBJECT of God's ETERNAL LOVE for the WORLD was the INFANT Who was found SLEEPING in a CRADLE in Bethlehem and God's OFFER of EVERLASTING LIFE for WHOSOEVER was the INFINITE One bleeding some 33 years later while SUFFERING on a CROSS near Jerusalem. Friends, the great God Who runs the universe is concerned about you as an individual, because in His heart, it's as though you were the only WHOSOEVER in the WORLD.
