LETTING TOMORROW SPOIL TODAY:ONE OF THE BIGGEST MISTAKES WE MAKEI guess we could all look back and point out individual seasons, days and moments in our past that stand out as being the toughest times. I can easily point to the single toughest day of my life, just as I can point to the greatest day of my life, and most readers of this post can do the same. Sometime this old flesh even LIKES to dwell on such hardships in hopes of drawing a bit of sympathy from others. But have you ever pondered what might be the hardest thing TO DO as a Christian? Yesterday is gone, and tomorrow might never come, so what about TODAY? What is the hardest thing for you and I to do TODAY?Psalm 118:24 says, "This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it." I think THAT is the hardest thing to do. Yesterday is gone, and tomorrow isn't yet here, so what about TODAY? Will it be ruined by yesterday's sorrow or by tomorrow's fears? Will I obey my Lord and not worry about what tomorrow might bring, since today is quite enough (Mat. 6:34)? If God grants me tomorrow, then perhaps I can rejoice and be glad in it as well, but He HAS granted me TODAY. What will I do with it?
