I recently joined Secretary Sean Duffy and Rep. Brian Babin at JSC to tour a mockup of NASA’s Gateway, a critical component of our mission to return American astronauts to the Moon. As Chairman of Senate Commerce Republicans, I worked relentlessly to secure funding for key elements of NASA’s Artemis program, including the Orion spacecraft and Gateway, through the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. The stakes couldn’t be higher: we’re in a space race with Communist China and beating them to the Moon is not optional—it’s essential.
