A Mind Destitute Of GodJohn 19:1-3, 5“Then Pilate therefore took Jesus, and scourged him. And the soldiers platted a crown of thorns, and put it on his head, and they put on him a purple robe, And said, Hail, King of the Jews! and they smote him with their hands… Then came Jesus forth, wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple robe. And Pilate saith unto them, Behold the man!”Please center your mind on the “crown of thorns” upon the head of Jesus. It was platted and put on His head. Then He was paraded through the streets in mockery as, “King of the Jews!” What kind of mind perpetuates and puts together such an instrument of torment such as a “crown of thorns”? A crown of thorns is not something one just twists and throws together. There is thought given and there must be a precise carefulness so that one does not get pricked by the poison of the thorns himself. When placed on the head of Jesus did they look away or did they look into His eyes? Only a mind destitute of any good, holiness, or love could do such a thing? Only a mind void of God could not only deny the existence of Jesus Christ but seek to humiliate Him in front of the world.Romans 3:23“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”
