Police officers are sworn to be impartial guardians of the law, protectors of all, not advocates for one cause or ideology. The moment an officer wears Pride colours on a bulletproof vest, or paints “POLICE” in Pride colours on a patrol car, the message is unmistakable, one community is being favoured above others. That is not inclusivity, that is bias. And bias has no place in law enforcement.
We’ve seen the difference with our own eyes. The Freedom Movement faced arrests, fines, and jail time for peaceful protest, while other demonstrations were met with open arms. This disparity is not imagined, it’s real, it’s blatant, and it’s wrong.
Police cannot take sides. When they do, it is unethical. When they do so under orders, it is still wrong. And when that favoritism influences how laws are enforced, it is illegal. The badge is supposed to represent fairness, justice, and equal treatment under the law. The moment it becomes a symbol of political or social allegiance, trust is shattered and justice is compromised.
My message is simple: Impartiality is not optional, it is the foundation of justice. Without it, law enforcement becomes just another political tool, and Canada loses one more pillar of its freedom.
Please share this truth, it's important those in charge read and understand why this is wrong
