"LIVING AS CHILDREN OF GOD" "For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus." (Galatians 3:26)The very moment we placed our faith in Jesus Christ, from then on and forevermore, we are known as the CHILDREN OF GOD. Isn't that wonderful? I mean that's downright exciting when you stop to think about it and let that truth sink in.We're not only His Sheep, His Saints, His Servants, and His Soldiers; folks, we're His Sons and His Daughters, or as this verse says: THE CHILDREN OF GOD. Even if you had a human father who let you down from time to time, your Heavenly Father will never let you down at any time! Why? Because we are THE CHILDREN OF GOD. Well, here comes a rather exciting paragraph that should stir the pot. I do not believe that we as Christians should keep referring to ourselves as "I'm just a sinner saved by grace." Where in the Word of God is that cute little phrase found? If you've been born again from above, God no longer sees you as a Blasphemous and Rebellious Sinner, He looks upon you as a Blessed and Redeemed Saint and His very own Child.Now. I'm not saying that as Christians we never sin. If you're of that persuasion, then you've been listening to Rev. Peter Perfect or Evangelist Sammy Sinless. Honestly, I'd rather get a little shuteye listening to Dr. I.B. Boring than those first two. Take a good hard look someday at Paul's epistles to the various Churches he wrote to. he doesn't start his greetings with "To the sinners saved by grace." No, he commences by saying, To the saints at_______" Study it out sometime and you'll be blessed when you come to the realization just who you are in the Lord Jesus. Too many well-meaning folks are repeating little sweet phrases as opposed to the Lord's Spiritual Promises.That was kind of fun, wasn't it? I enjoyed it! And don't get me started on that nonsensical and damnable heresy: “The Universal Fatherhood of God and The Universal brotherhood of man.” I should probably wrap this up now while the wrapping is good!Friends, only faith in Jesus Christ can make one a legitimate child of God. Many times, I'll stop to think about our Saviour lovingly watches over us while we sleep. And with great anticipation, He eagerly waits for us to awaken so that He may once again daily load us with benefits and blessings. He is pleased when we listen to and follow Him and Do Right. It is truly joy unspeakable a full of glory that we forever belong to Him because He calls us: THE CHILDREN OF GOD.
