How many times have we all heard the Democrats accuse President Trump of being an existential threat to democracy! How many times have we heard Democrats warn everyone that if we don’t stop the Trump administration, our democracy will fall! How many times must we say the truth about the United States of America, in spite of claims to the contrary, the United States is NOT a democracy! THE UNITED STATES IS A CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC! Look at the founding documents, the Declaration of Independence in 1776, the Articles of Confederation in 1777 and the Constitution of the United States of America in 1787 all of which never mention the word democracy once. We vote for representatives (congress and executives) to assemble and act in our best interest, with our consent. Democracy connotes a governing system that was adopted over 2000 years ago in Greece where each man got one equity value vote on every issue and it was mandatory to vote on each and every issue. This led to a situation where so much time and effort was spent on issues, debates and voting that democracy quickly became impactable. In addition, the disagreements, arguments and conflicts often ended in violence! Not to mention that when the public became aware of the fact that they could vote to pay themselves from all the money in the national treasury, the democratic government fell!
