Trusting GodRuth 2:12“The LORD recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to trust.”The Biblical story of Ruth and a man named Boaz is a beautiful love story of redemption that pictures the love story between Jesus Christ and the church. Our verse today lets us know that outward beauty was not the only thing that attracted Boaz to Ruth. The real attraction was the fact that she had left the land of her birth, came into a foreign land, and found faith in the LORD God of Israel. Because of her total and unreserved trust in the LORD God she was reaping the recompense of the reward. Our verse in Ruth reminds me of what is said about Moses in Hebrews 11:26 “Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.”Our faith in, our daily walk and our service for the Lord will one day lead to a recompense of a reward of our faith. We may face the reproach of being a Christian today, but tomorrow may lead to the reward.Heaven is going to be sweet!There is a better day coming!The faith of Ruth and Moses was rewarded and so will our faith in the LORD one day be rewarded.Dear Christian just keep trusting the LORD God!
