#news Fast Fact: 27 government cell phones were wiped clean during the Mueller investigation right before the Inspector General was set to review them
#DC
The now exposed Mueller Special Counsel investigation, into Clinton & Obama fabricated Russian collusion claims detailed how 27 government-issued cell phones used by members of Mueller's team were wiped clean of data before they could be fully reviewed by the DOJ's Office of the Inspector General (OIG)

The records were released by the DOJ after a FOIA request.
The wipes happened after the users returned the phones and were documented in a DOJ summary.
According to the records, the data was 'accidentally' deleted due to mistakes or technical issues, like entering incorrect passcodes too many times or forgotten passwords.
They also said the phones "wiped themselves" or there was hardware damage.
Other phones were lost.
Republican lawmakers say the deletions were done deliberately to hide evidence.
While the exact number of people involved isn't specified (as some team members wiped multiple phones), the 27 instances involved at least 15-22 people.
Not all names were publicly disclosed due to redactions in the FOIA releases, but the cell phones of Lisa Page, Peter Strzok and multiple attorneys working with Mueller were wiped.
