There is plenty of blame to go around for the war in Ukraine, no one involved is innocent! Under the Obama administration starting in 2009. Secretaries of States Hillary Clinton and John Kerry sowed the seeds of massive corruption in Ukraine, even more than it already was. The “Deep State” through the CIA helped set up covert chemical and biological weapons labs, illicit drug manufacturing operations, child trafficking, human trafficking, adrenochrome production, money laundering, etc. Putin saw this as an excuse to invade Crimea, The events in Kyiv that ousted Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych on February 22, 2014 sparked both pro-Russian and anti-separatism demonstrations in Crimea. At the same time, Russian president Vladimir Putin told his security chiefs to begin work on "returning Crimea to Russia". On February 27th Russian special forces without insignia seized strategic sites across Crimea. Russia at first denied involvement, but Putin later admitted that they were Russian troops. As the armed men occupied Crimea's parliament, it dismissed the Crimean government, installed the pro-Russian Aksyonov government, and announced a referendum on Crimea's status. The referendum was held under Russian occupation and, according to the Russian-installed authorities, the result was overwhelmingly in favor of joining Russia. The next day, March 17, 2014, Crimea's authorities declared independence and requested to join Russia. Russia formally incorporated Crimea on March 18, 2014 as the Republic of Crimea and federal city of Sevastopol. Following the annexation, Russia militarized the peninsula and warned against any outside intervention. In 2017 Hunter Biden was hired as a no-show Board of Directors position at Burisma for an annual salary of one million dollars. After Joe Biden took office and had the disastrous military pullout in Afghanistan Putin decided to take advantage of the situation and started making plans to retake Ukraine still using the excuse of rescuing the population from corruption. On February 24, 2022, Russia invaded Ukraine, starting the largest and deadliest war in Europe since World War II, in a major escalation of the conflict between the two countries which began in 2014. The fighting has caused hundreds of thousands of military casualties and tens of thousands of Ukrainian civilian casualties. As of 2025, Russian troops occupy about 20% of Ukraine. From a population of 41 million, about 8 million Ukrainians had been internally displaced and more than 8.2 million had fled the country by April 2023, creating Europe's largest refugee crisis since World War II. Both Putin and Zelenskyy are evil to the core and equally responsible for the bloodshed is this war.
