Overcoming Your TroublesJohn 14:1“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.”John 14:27“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”John 16:33“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”There is no way around the fact that we are going to face difficult days of trouble and tribulation. I have come to realize that God wants to use all my days of difficulty to mold me more into His likeness. Since you cannot take troubles and tribulations out of your life, how will you and I face them? There is not but one way. Through faith in the only One who can give true peace and who has Himself already overcome the world. We can face our all difficulties in life through faith in Jesus Christ! This does not mean the difficulties go away, it just means we by faith can trust Jesus to lead us through them. Our faith must be anchored in His Word, the Bible.Romans 10:17“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”I preach and teach so often that a daily devotional time in which you are conscious of the truth that you are meeting with God through Jesus Christ is the single greatest activity you can engage in. Do not neglect such a time with God. Make the time and discipline yourself to stay with it. Make it a time of the study of God’s Word and prayer. Make yourself a prayer list. Again, you are conscious that you are meeting with God, through His Son Jesus Christ. It is the way through the troubles and tribulations of this life.“My Lord knows the way through the wilderness, all I have to do is follow…”
