Faith- The Evidence Of Things Not SeenLuke 24:22-24“Yea, and certain women also of our company made us astonished, which were early at the sepulchre; And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, which said that he was alive.And certain of them which were with us went to the sepulchre, and found it even so as the women had said: but him they saw not.”There was some, after the resurrection of Jesus, who had not seen Him. I wonder if they had to see Him in order to believe that He had risen.John 20:29“Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.”Are you like Thomas, do you have to see in order to believe?True faith is “the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” - Hebrews 11:1The blessings of the Lord flow through our faith in Him and His Word. It is possible to know the doctrine that Jesus Christ lives but it is altogether different when one lives out through faith the new life in our risen Lord.Do you live through faith that Jesus Christ is alive?Does His life affect your life and the way you live?
