When There Will Be No More Need To PrayJohn 16:22-23“And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.”Our Lord was trying to prepare the disciples for the day that He would no longer be with them in physical, bodily form. In our text He was telling them that the sorrow they were experiencing due to His forthcoming death on the cross would be turned into joy! The mere mention of His death filled their hearts with sorrow. This day and in the coming days they would have lots of questions but “in that day” (the day of His return) they would have no questions!! For now all Christians have the blessed privilege to ask anything in His name, in His will, and the Father will give it. But when we see Him “in that day”, there will be no more need to pray. All our questions will be answered at His presence! Now, there are so many things that we have questions about. Now, there are many things that bring us sorrow, but then the sorrow will be gone and the questions will not matter. All our puzzles about life will one day be put together. Everything questionable will be cleared up! The things that make no sense to us now, will not matter in that day! In that day all our sorrows will be turned into joy and the confusions of our life will vanish at His presence!
