John 1:29“The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.”John the Baptist had the privilege to introduce Jesus Christ and His ministry. Jesus said in Mark 10:45 “For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.”It is easy to see that this world has become a cesspool of sin. The vileness and wickedness of our day has reached a proportion of great unimaginable depth. But the truth remains, Jesus came into this world to take away the sin of the world! If we are not careful all we will see is how sinful this world has become and in our despair forget about the truth that Jesus Christ died on an old rugged cross, shedding His blood for the remission of sin, was buried, but He rose again the third day- all to take away sin. The Gospel is the good news that the sinner finds their forgiveness and victory over sin through the Lord Jesus Christ. As Christians we have the privilege of taking the greatest news ever known to mankind and sharing it with those broken and bound by sin. Jesus Christ came into the world to take away sin out of the heart of the sinner.Christian, who have you shared with lately the good news that Jesus Christ came to take away sin?And if you find yourself broken and battered by sin, Jesus wants to forgive you, save you, and set you free from the bondage of sin.Why not come to Him today?
