Can You Be Still And Quiet?Psalms 46:10 - “Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.”Psalms 143:5 - “I remember the days of old; I meditate on all thy works; I muse on the work of thy hands.”1 Thessalonians 4:11 - “And that ye study to be quiet…”The pace of our times and people's love and addiction to cell phones have made it about impossible to fulfill the truths of these verses. When is the last time you got alone with God? No cell phone and no internet. Just you, God, the Bible, and paper and pen.When is the last time you got away so you could mediate and muse on the works of God? Most Christians I know, probably could not appreciate a moment of silence. If we do get to go on vacation or have a “day off” we are looking for something to do.Have you ever sought to know that the LORD is God by being still?Why not make a date with God and spend the time in quietness and meditation to find out more about who He is? You might later thank me for the suggestion!
