A federal appeals court has issued a temporary stay in a ruling handed down just hours earlier on June 12, essentially restoring President Donald Trump’s control of the California National Guard, which he has temporarily placed under his command amid protests and riots in Los Angeles.The order comes just hours after U.S. District Judge Charles Breyer ordered the administration to return control of the California National Guard to Gov. Gavin Newsom.The order will stay in place at least until Tuesday, giving the administration at least four additional days’ control of the state’s guardsmen.
